Checking conditions from ash

Unfortunately, no - and this couldn't easily be added, since the conditions list can contain various things besides items that have no direct representation in ASH.
 
Ok, I worked around that one. How about this :) Is there any way to check counters in ASH?

For counters, you can look at the "relayCounters" preference. It has fields separated by colons, in groups of three: ending turn number, counter name, and image filename. Changes to this preference are ignored, you can only affect the actual counters via the CLI "counters" command.
