The closet button on the memento list will try to closet items that aren't owned (but are part of the default memento list). I think once the first request fails, the rest fail.

This is the only request that was sent to KoL, trying to closet 0 wreath-shaped Crimbo cookies (I don't own any). KoL response tells me I don't have any of the item and then KoLmafia I guess assumes the rest will fail and outputs a list of failed transactions to the CLI (for more items I don't own).
