Did you have any noncombats in between? I didn't keep track of number of turns/combats spent for each drop, I just see that I got 10 drops (no duplicates) within 148 combats/177 turns.

Just came here to report the same. Ascended character 1, went up to level 8 and logged off, then logged into character 2 (who is level 13) and got "Welcome back to the Kingdom of Loathing. Noob." That would be in relay, main pane, using r9883. And apparently the text is all centered ...

Yes. Now enter a combat that will take a little longer, use a spell or skill that takes MP to cast, and watch the side pane. It will most likely still be 1 cast "behind" the actual MP status.
