    TwinklyGiveaway - Script Request

It would be helpful to know if you are ever going to need to send more than one kind of wad to the same person. (I'm not going to do this, too busy in real life right now, but it the question popped into my head when considering the question, so other potential scripters might want to know too...

No, Slyz is right -- both in that there is clearly still an end item == start item issue, and that something strange is happening. If it were just end item == start item, we'd expect something silly like this: untinker maid head; acquire 1 maiden wig; make 1 maid head; mallsell 1 maid head...

heeheehee: I will definitely take a close look at your project. (I think it's great it has its own thread now -- show off your hard work!) However, I'm going to be very busy in the next week / two weeks with real-life stuff, so I'm going to ignore PA (unless for serious bug fixes) for that...

EatDrink.ash: Optimize your daily diet (and see how your old diet stacks up).

Ooh, while we're making comments and bug reports and requests: - I'd love to see EatDrink use vprint. It really prints out a lot of stuff, and at least while simulating I don't really care about most of the figuring-it-out output - While simulating, can the waiting period not exist? I...

I'm with Bale: that was hilarious! Aqualectrix is, er, Water-reader? It's been my online name for a long time, I'm not quite sure anymore. I like to read. I guess I like water, too?

I make the same assumption, I'm afraid, so I'm not offended. But now I know you're not a Latin scholar -- "trix" is a feminine ending!

First: her code. The FGF/MPE/dead mimics are in the code rather than read from the map because their outcomes are conditional (on how you did the Farm sidequest and whether you have a wand). Spiny: exactly. At the moment, if you don't get the item directly, PA doesn't advise about it...

Regarding tiny plastics, this might be a time to mention that (if you haven't noticed already), PA does not offer advice about using doll houses and dollhives. I don't know what the drop rates are, so I can't calculate an expected value. It looks like the wiki is slowly gathering this...

Eh, I called it folding because that's what KoL calls it. foldgroups.txt and zapgroups.txt are on the list of things to support. And non-meat currency trade-ins, too (though not in time for the end of Crimbux). There will probably be an option to ignore zapping, so that scripts using PA as a...

Thanks for finding that bug, Quincunx! It should be fixed in 1.1.

ZLib -- Zarqon's useful function library

Would it be possible at some point to get a vprint version of print_html(), too? I like to use print_html() for bolds, etc. (And so do you, I see, in these update messages people are so persnickety about!) Edit: Also, a question re: use of verbosity. I have several functions specifically...

Make your scripts automatically update their data files!

That's perfectly fine! (I'm also fine with it being modifiable by anyone, I just wondered what was being modified.) A lot of work you don't want to do -- that's work you shouldn't do, I'd say!

Re: weird numerical output: I suspect that this was a case of Mafia interpreting some of my string concatenation as addition. If so, using Mafia r7941 or greater should fix it. If it still happens with r7941 or greater, I'll look into it further.

Possible, except for some exceptions I've outlined in my previous post. I need a decent do_x_times() function to transform my advice strings. And have them on my conscience? Not yet!

Someone trying to profit from my work

I'm not sure what you mean by leg-work, but I'm going to assume you mean scripting. If I'm wrong, obviously this will be way off-base. dj_d has made it very clear that he will give away the password to anyone who contributes to the Mafia scripting community or the Mafia community. When I saw...

Well, what you quote definitely looks wrong. None of my output should produce 994 as advice! (I hope.) I get the right results, though, so this is going to be hard for me to test: tiny plastic Susie: mallsell tiny plastic Susie: 1234567.0 meat smash tiny plastic Susie; autosell twinkly...

This is a good idea; combined with the percentage of original price idea it should provide decent levels of protection from crazy. I won't be doing make_it_so until PA is a little more mature, but these are all things to keep in mind. lostcalpolydude is correct about smashing/malusing...

That is an excellent snippet, thanks for the link. I thought I'd seen something about this issue lately -- it must have been your post! It doesn't solve the "how many turns" issue, which is particularly annoying for, say, the gingerbread house, which has a maximum of infinite turns of...
